Press kitsthe greedy knight

a snack-sized auto-battler roguelite. a greedy knight and his unreliable party fight entirely on their own; you pick the dungeon, draft their upgrades and decide what the gold is for. a dungeon takes about two minutes.
The demo is free on Steam — no key needed, nothing to request. There is no embargo on anything in this kit.
The trailer, 1080p with sound — download the file to cut it up as b-roll. It is captured from the running game, not an edit, so everything in it is real footage.
About the game
the greedy knight is a snack-sized auto-battler roguelite. a greedy knight, a cowardly archer and a reckless wizard do the fighting — all of it, on their own. you pick the dungeon off the shelf, draft their upgrades between waves, and decide what the gold is for. a dungeon takes about two minutes. you’ll die. you’ll get richer. you’ll delve again.
the party moves, targets, swings and casts on its own. there is nothing to fire and nothing to steer — the knight’s slam, the archer’s volley and the wizard’s nova all go off the moment they’re ready, at whatever the party thinks is worth hitting. in a fight the only key that does anything is pause.
your decisions are the ones that stack: which dungeon and at what tier, which reward card you keep between waves, which tome each hero carries down, and what the gold buys when they drag themselves home. every coin you bank grows the money tree, so the next delve starts stronger.
Key features
the party plays itself — properly
it moves, targets, swings and casts with no input, and plays well enough to get you killed. the one key that works in a fight is pause.
a dungeon is two minutes, start to boss
six on the shelf, each one world. clear one and the next opens. pick it, pick how hard, go.
the money tree
every coin you bank grows it: health, damage, range, gold, and keystones that change how a hero fights.
take the boss’s move
every boss knows one trick and keeps it in a book. beat it and the tome is yours for good. once a hero owns two, you choose which one comes along — which is what makes two runs with the same party play differently.
reward cards
mid-run upgrades that stack until the run ends, common to epic. two on offer, one keeper, a reroll if you can pay — and a third card once the tree grows you one.
the dungeon has weather
fourteen kinds, rolled fresh every set: fog, downpour, ember storm, gilded, soul tide and worse. some help. most don’t.
five tiers above normal, then endless
ascension turns every dungeon meaner and better-paying, up to twelve-times enemies and a sky that is always against you. after that, floors that don’t stop.
What's in the demo
The demo is the first two dungeons of the full game, as they ship — not a separate build. The full game puts six on the shelf, with four more worlds listed and on the way.
- the slime warrens and the goblin holt — the first two dungeons of the full game, as they ship — with the mother slime and the goblin king at the end of them
- two tomes: the mother slime teaches the knight slam, the goblin king teaches the archer volley
- the archer joins along the way. the wizard is full-game only
- the money tree, the library and the ledger back in the keep
- ascension up to tier ii in the warrens and tier iii in the holt
- eight achievements, nine languages, full controller support
- an hour or two, free, no key to request
Video thumbnails
Ten options at 1280×720, ready to upload as-is. Six are built on the dialogue portraits, because a face is what reads at thumbnail size; most leave room for your own title, two already carry the tagline. Overpaint them, crop them, drop your face on them — no permission needed.

Art assets
The logo, the painted key art and the portraits — illustrations, not pixel art, so scale them however you like. Click any thumbnail to download that file on its own.
logo
The painted logo, transparent. This one is an illustration, not pixel art — scale it however you like. The 16:9 version is the same mark padded to a video frame, for dropping straight onto an overlay track.
painted key art
The illustrated knight — three crops of the same piece. The left third of the wide ones is empty on purpose: that is where a title, a face cam or a logo goes.
portraits
The three as they appear in the game’s dialogue — painted busts, keyed out to transparent. These are the faces: the sprites are what fights, these are who is talking. Best thing in the kit for a thumbnail.
About MoonCrust Games
MoonCrust Games is a tiny independent studio making small pixel games — things you can finish on a break rather than block out an evening for. the greedy knight is its first Steam release, and it is self-published: no publisher, no PR agency, so anything you ask here is answered by the person who built it.
Contact
Press, business, everything: hello@mooncrust.xyz
There is no publisher and no agency in between, so a question about a build, a clip or a fact on this page reaches the person who can answer it.
Anything missing — a specific enemy, a pose, a clean clip of one fight, a screenshot without the HUD? Ask. The kit is generated from the game itself, so most requests are a re-run rather than a favour.
Want the raw sprites — a hero, a boss, an enemy, an empty dungeon room at 4K? They are exported straight from the game's sheets, transparent and trimmed, and take a minute to send. Just ask.
